The problem this archive solves
Active Matter changes quickly, while search results can preserve instructions that no longer match the live interface. The Field Archive publishes one public rule set: the build shown at the top of every guide. There is no reader-facing version switch and no retired workflow mixed into the action steps.
Every page answers one player problem. It begins with the decision, gives the sequence in the order a player performs it, defines an abort or extraction condition, and ends with sources that support a specific claim.
Editorial rules
- The latest official patch defines gameplay rules.
- A guide must include a concrete action, condition, and expected result.
- Community experience can explain positioning or workflow, but it cannot become an official probability or guaranteed spawn.
- Unknown data stays unknown. The site does not invent total player counts, drop rates, or damage precision.
- An image is published only when it helps identify a target, read a location, compare an item, or verify a setting.
Independent status and updates
This is an independent player guide with no affiliation to Matter Team, Gaijin Network Ltd., wiki.gg, or individual creators. Active Matter names, images, characters, and other game assets belong to their respective rights holders.
The current public baseline is 0.4.0.62, checked against official patch notes September 5, 2026. A later build replaces this baseline only after the affected workflows, screenshots, and source notes have been checked together.
