At a glance
- Do not chase gunfire until you know whether it sits on your objective, your extraction route, or an avoidable detour.
- Create one-direction fights with doors, stairs, vehicles, and corners, but keep a second exit available.
- After a kill, reload, heal, scan, and relocate before looting. The original firing position is now public information.
Answer four questions before engaging
- Location
- Can you place the sound on a landmark? If not, gather information instead of pushing.
- Purpose
- Does the contact block the objective or exit?Optional fights need a much stronger advantage.
- Position
- Do you have hard cover and a retreat?A strong firing angle without an exit is a trap.
- Resources
- Can you still finish the raid afterward?Reserve healing, armor, and ammunition for the extraction route.
Use the same sequence after every contact
- Break line of sight and reload behind hard cover.
- Heal, then check your armor plate's durability before peeking again.
- Listen for enemy teammates, returning opponents, nearby monsters, or an approaching vehicle.
- Move to a new firing position so opponents watching your old position cannot keep aiming at you.
- Loot only what improves the objective or exit, then leave the area before repacking the backpack.
Apply the plan to Downtown
Update 0.4.0.62 added barriers to non-playable floors and the rooftop. Recheck access before following a route from older footage.
- Treat long streets as exposure zones. Check windows and the next hard cover before crossing; do not assume an old rooftop route is still accessible.
- Buildings contain valuable loot and investigations, so expect movement around entrances and vertical routes.
- Late in the raid, assume traffic shifts toward evacuation routes. Do not arrive with empty magazines.
- A vehicle is both transport and a loud signal. Plan where you will dismount before driving into a contested block.
- If the backpack is already full, avoid turning a successful raid into a building-clearing exercise.

Correct these PvP habits
You push every gunshot.Push only when the contact affects the objective or when location, cover, and resource checks all pass.
You hold a strong room until surrounded.Use the angle briefly, then rotate while the enemy still aims at the old doorway.
You die with the objective complete.Switch to extraction mode immediately. Avoid loot routes that do not improve survival.
